Most people recognize that the ribbon woven through the "O" and "Z" is a metaphor for the Yellow Brick Road. However, people who haven't spent a lot of time in the midwest often don't notice that the interior of the "O" is the U.S. Weather Service's standard symbol for a cyclone.
