Dave Howell

Script, Score, Lyrics

Dave graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a Bachelor of Musical Arts in Composition and a minor in the Publishing and Printing Arts, and spent most of his career after graduation using his minor. In 2017 he ran into somebody who wanted to bring “The Wizard of Oz” to the stage, and Dave volunteered to help him with the script. Eventually his friend had to step away from the project, but by then, it was too late for Dave, since he’d re-written the book, composed the music, and discovered that at some point in his life when he wasn’t paying attention, had even developed a knack for writing lyrics. He also has been a member of vocal jazz ensemble BlueStreet Voices since 2008, and performed with the Seattle Choral Company and Bells of the Sound.
